World War 1 Anmial Hero (President Wilson)

This week for reading I was finishing of my ANZAC task. My reading Groups task was to create a slide or a doc or a google drawing about our favourite war hero. First we had to read 2 articles  about the Top 10 Animal war heroes. My Animal was the pigeons. They used to carry messages for over 5,000 years and we were learning to summarise. I found it tricky to write my favourite animal facts and find the story of the pigeon. I found it easy to find the statue of President Wilson and that's the name of pigeon. I found it challenging to write the story cause we were not allowed to copy and paste other people's work we had to write in our own words. My digital learning object shows that I can embed my ANZAC slide. Next time I would change my font, colour, background and the size of the writing.

Do you celebrate ANZAC day with you family? Do you know what ANZAC day is? Have you created a slide about your favourite war hero? Do you know the names of the animals that helped in the war?

I like pigeons too and I didn't know that they were a war hero says Ruby.
How did you make the words spin in your slide? Asks Jethro
We used Google Drawings to make a poppy and other things that relate to ANZAC Day.

I am Aimie from St Mary’s School.
To make the words spin around I used Animation it’s on top of every google slide well that all i know i don’t know if there is a Animation button on top of google drawings.
I also didn't know that pigeons helped in the war. I found that on a website called the Top 10 animal war heroes it was a lot of fun reading the facts about each animal that helped in the war.
Last year for ANZAC day I also used google drawing to make a poppy. It was a bit hard for me because you had to find the shapes or sometimes I insert a photo of a poppy and trace around it with a polyline or any other lines.
Thank you for commenting on my blog!!
