GREEN TEAM Reduce Reuse and Recycle

 HI It's been a long time since I blogged so today my blog post will be about Reduce,Re-use and Recycle. Today after morning tea we went to  Ilminster . It was not just my class, it was Room 1 Room 2 Room 11 and Room 9. We went there to watch a play from the green team. The theme was based on Reduce Reuse and Recycle. The show finished at 12:16 and we rented back to school on the bus. The people at Ilminster were nice. Their show was funny and nice. I was excited to watch their show. When we returned to school we had our lunch and our play. Then our Teacher told us to create a Reduce Re-use and Recycle poster. Our choices were create the poster on Canva,google slides or a paper I did mine on Canva. I found it easy to add stuff. I found it easy to blog about it. My digital learning objects show that I can Download my Canva and blog it. Next time I would do it on a google slide and add a background.

Zombie Apocalypse!

This week on monday our Class room was a mess! The teacher called the police ( pretending ) Then she said that  the police said that there is a Zombie Apocalypse! Then she started reading a diary. There was Day 1 to Day 5 our success criteria was to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse! I did this with Primrose and iSabella we created a slide and put everything on it. Our teacher said that we need a Zombie looking background.  We also wrote some facts about Zombie Apocalypse. I found it tricky to write all the answers. I found it easy to write how to survive a Zombie Apocalypse. My digital learning objects shows that I can Embed my slides to my blog. Next time I would write more facts and change the background.

September Student Reflection Newsletter

It's been a long time since I blogged about something, In this blog post I will tell you what I did for writing today. We were filling in your September Student Reflection Newsletter. We had to write about what we were reading in class ,Our survila of Zombie apocalypse,Speeches,Reader's Theater,This month I am proud of and lucky last my september selfie. We did this on a google drawings. I found it tricky to write what i was proud of. I found it easy to select a background. Beatitude burger and slides

This week for reading our success criteria was to identify the characters and/or author's point of view. WE had our learn create share for my  learn bit I had to read 2 stories and read one bible reading. My create bit was to complete a doc with my group then we had we create a Beatitude slide for social justice week I did mine friend primrose. My share bit was to create a quilty blog post and share it. I found it tricky to get it finished. I found it easy to Embed. My digital learning objects shows that i can Embed my slides. Next time i would choose a different buddy.

 This week for writing our learning intention was to Structure our Writing. We had our learn create share to do my learn bit was to read a story and watch 2 videos. Coral Reefs

 Today for reading our learning intention was to analyse and sithinse we had to watch video and read a journal then my Create bit was to educate others about the ocean and the importance of coral reefs. We had to include important facts and hints that will help others to protect our oceans I did this with two buddy's there names are Isabella and primrose here are the links to there blog so you can visit their blog primrose's Blog,Isabella's Blog. We did this task on a google slide.  My share bit was to create a quality blog post and post it. I found it tricky to not copy and paste because that is not being CyberSMART. I found it easy to choose two lovely buddy's. My digital learning objects shows that I can Embed my slides. Next time I would choose a coral reef background.

Is Mr Wolf Guilty of 1st Degree Murder?

 Today writing our learning intention was to plan a persuasive text we were brainstorming about Mr Wolf in the Fairy tale called little red riding Hood we had our learn create share for my learn bit we had to read a story and watch 2 videos. Then I was up to my create bit and that was to use a template and write why Mrs Wolf is Guilty and why he is not guilty. Then My share bit was to publish a quality blog post about what I have learnt in my Create. I found it tricky to write 4 arguments. I found it easy choose a background. My persuasive Writing

This is my 2cd blog post about the 2cd task and it was writing our success criteria was to structure. I think that Cats are better than Dogs in many different ways. In this persuasive text I will tell you three reasons why cats are better than Dogs.

Firstly Cats are  softer, sweeter, and smarter but Dogs actually love training because they love having tasks and being part of a pack. Cats are hardwired to stalk, hunt, and pounce on their prey, which makes them perfect for keeping your home free of unwanted pests.

Secondly Cats are definitely not evil, mean, or vindictive by nature. Dogs help to manage and protect other animals, preventing them from running away.

Lastly Cats sometimes likes you but it is nice having a cat or a kitten. But Dogs Bark at you and chase you.

For all of these reasons above I believe that Cats are way better than Dogs.

Paralympic Games

This is my last blog post and it is about the Paralympic Games we had to watch one video and then I was up to my CREATE bit and that was to create a slide and write 5 facts about the Paralympic Games if we did not want to make a side we could use a template. We did it on a google drawing. I found it tricky to find 5 facts about the Paralympic Games. I found it easy to use a template. My digital learning objects shows that I can embed my Paralympic Games slide on my blog. Next time I would write different facts.

Saint Anne

This blog post is about the 3rd task and it was Religious Education we had to research about a saint and we also had to answer some questions about our chosen saint. I choose Saint Anne she is the mother of Mary and the grandmother of Jesus. First I tried to do it on we video but then I thought that I will do it on a Google slide. I found it tricky to research about Saint Anne. i found it easy to create it on a slide. My digital learning objects shows that I can Embed my slide son my blog. Next time I would do it on wevideo.

Wellbeing Task

This blog post is about the 2cd activity and it was a Wellbeing task we had lots of fun activities to choose from first we had to roll a dice if we didn't have a dice there was a youtube click we had to pause it was if the number is 4 we had to choose one activity from the Number four box. I choose to do draw a square and in the middle write what I was proud of.  I found it tricky to do my task because there a lot of things that I was proud of. I found it easy to roll a dice. Composting

Today I had my online class there were 3 tasks to do this blog post is about the 1st one it was about writing,We did have a learning intention for and it was to Structure an information report we also had success criteria and it was to

Introduction -

I will have a title (the name)

I will have a hook (question)

I will state what I am going to write about

Body

I will write the subheading

I will use the keywords to write sentences

I will re read my sentences to make sure they make sense

I start a new paragraph / subtitle

I will do the same for all parts of my plan

Conclusion

I will share my own reflection / personal thoughts about the topic

WE had to write about Composting. We had to read 2 articles that were based on compost. I found it tricky to follow the success criteria. I found it easy to write about composting. Did you know that Composting can be a great way to use food lost to landfills.

What is it

Compost is a mixture of ingredients used to fertilize and improve the soil. Brown + Green = Compost  Material like leaves straw and shredded wood along with grass and vegetable scraps combine water air and high temperatures creates an environment for materials to break down.

How is it made?

It is commonly prepared by decomposing plant and food waste and recycling organic materials.organic scraps(vegetable peels,fruit waste,plant clipping and grass cutting) turn into a material called Compost.

The benefits of composting

Enriches soil, helping retain moisture and suppress plant diseases and pests.

It Adds nutrients to the soil. Compost is humans—nutrient-rich soil

It Recycles kitchen and yard waste

It is really Good for the environment!

Cats!

Today we had our online class we had four tasks to so this blog post is about the 1st one which is reading our learning intention is to apply knowledge we had our three things to do LEARN CREATE SHARE for our LEARN bit we had to read three articles and watch 2 videos based on cats and dogs then I was up yo my CREATE bit which was to choose one of the create task to compete

1- Make a 5 facts poster in Google slides to share what you learned about cats

2- Create a Food chain animation that includes a cat or dog

3- Make a Google Drawing poster showing the different parts of a cat or a dog

I did the 1st and 3rd task I made them both on a Google slides then I created it into a gif using tall tweets,for the 3rd task I did both animals. I found it tricky to choose one,write 5 facts about Cats. I found it easy to share it one mu blog. My digital learning objects shows that I can Embed my work on my blog so you can see what i did. Next time i would choose a different task.

Today for writing my learning intention was to paragraph it means a paragraph that is a group of sentences that fleshes out a single idea. We had to write about our favourite author I wrote about David Williams there wa lots to write about him but I only wrote about his childhood and adulthood. Our success criteria was to

I have added 2-3 supporting details

My last sentence is a concluding sentence

Making Robots

This week for reading our learning intention was to summarize across multiple texts.we had three things to do LEARN CREATE SHARE for our LEARN bit we had to read 2 stories based on robots and watch one video.Then I was up to my CREATE bit which was to Ask - What is a problem I would love to solve! 
Imagine - Brainstorm all the ideas that could solve the problem
Imagine - Plan and design your own robot then I was up to my SHARE bit which was to share it on my blog so you can see.I found it tricky to think of a problem because there are lots of problems around the world.I found it easy create a robot using shapes.My digital learning objects shows that I can embed my Blog my Google slides on my blog so you guys can see what I did. Assumption of Mary

Back to lockdown again This is a little prayer about covid 19

Lord Jesus, give us the grace to hear your voice,

And the strength to continue working for your kingdom in this time of pandemic.

Do not allow us to be indifferent to those who today suffer the loss of a loved one, or who suffer from the absence of work.

But give us the courage to accompany and side with those who suffer violence or injustice. Amen.

Today we had our 9:30 online class we had three tasks this blog post is about the 1st task which is about the Assumption of mary that was on sunday but today our work was to learn about Mary we had to make a word cloud of words about Mary on word cloud there was also a induction video of how to use word could it was my first time using word cloud it was bit tricky to find what I needed but I still got one with my learning. I done my work on a heart. I found it tricky to find words about Marys. I found it easy to choose a nice font and a nice shape. My digital learning objects shows that i can use word cloud( it was fun using word cloud) Next time I would change my words,font,colour and shape.

I will make a blog post about the second task!

 Today for writing, our success criteria was to paragraph it means a distinct section of a piece of writing We had to choose a our favourite NZ olympian I choose Valerin Adams We had our three things to do it was LEARN CREATE SHARE for my learn bit we had to read NZ Olympian Fact file and watch how to write a paragraph,then I was up to my CREATE bit which was to choose our favourite NZ 2021 olympian we had to research facts about our chosen olympian. I wrote my writing on Canva presentations I found it tricky to research about valerin Adams. I found it easy to choose a NZ olympian. My digital learning objects shows I can Embed my writing on my blog so you guys can see I wrote. Next time i would do it on a google slide i would also choose a different athlete.

Kawakawa

Today, I was learning how to summarise Do you know what summarise means? It means a brief statement of the main points of something we had our three things to do LEARN CREATE SHARE for my LEARN bit we had to read three stories and watch one video then I was up to my create bit which was to  Choose one Maori medicinal plant that is plated in our school we are going to paint a label on a piece of wood and list it's ronga properties( how can people use it today?)  We had to Design our label first using Google slides or paper I did mine on Google slides.We will do the painting tomorrow hopefully we will take some photos then i will post it so you can see it.My plant was Kawakawa there are some facts on my slide! I found it tricky to choose a plant and write about them. I found it easy to make a QR code i had to make a QR code because I had lots of information. My digital learning objects shows that I can embed my QR code. Next time I would change my plant write different facts about it!

I found tricky to write facts about Japan. I found it easy to add a background and change the fonts to funky fonts.
