 Today I was bored So my mum said Maybe you could write something about culture and I said oh yes that's a nice idea thanks mum and I set to work. I only found a small amount of information it is fun finding facts about culture.  I did mine on a Google doc.I found it tricky to write the name of places in india. I found it easy to do it on a google doc. My digital learning objects show that I can CTRl C and then CTRL Shift V. Next time i would do it on a Google slide and I will choose another topic.

What is Culture?

Culture is the characteristics and knowledge of a particular group of people, encompassing language, religion, cuisine, social habits, music and arts. Culture is our homeland and we all love our culture.

What is my Culture?

HI My culture is India. I was born in India. My mum and dad were also born in india. In India there are lots of places, for example Tamilnadu,Goa,Mumbai,and the Golden temple.The capital of India is New Delhi. I live in Kerala. It is the 2cd biggest country in India. Did you know that it took 200 years to build The Taj mahal?

What colour is the flag of india

The colours are orange white and green they represent  the top band is of Saffron colour indicating the strength and courage of the country. The white middle band indicates peace and truth with Dharma Chakra. The last band is green in colour shows the fertility growth and auspiciousness of the land and the wheel represent motion or growth.

How many islands are there in india 

In India there are 1,382 islands

Paralympic Games

This is my last blog post and it is about the Paralympic Games we had to watch one video and then I was up to my CREATE bit and that was to create a slide and write 5 facts about the Paralympic Games if we did not want to make a side we could use a template. We did it on a google drawing. I found it tricky to find 5 facts about the Paralympic Games. I found it easy to use a template. Cicadas

 This is the last blog post and it is Reading our success criteria was to apply knowledge we had three things to do LEARN CREATE SHARE for our LEARN bit we had to read 2 articles and watch one video. Then I was up to my CREATE bit which is to Choose one of the create tasks to complete

1 - Use Scratch to create a sea Habitat- see if you can make a Cicada and another creature interact with one another (Talk)

2 - Use Scratch to create an insect Habitat jumping game where the Cicada has to jump over obstacles. 

3 - Use Google Slides to make an informative fact sharing about Cicadas 

I choose to the last one. Then I was up to my SHARE bit and that was to SHARE it on my blog. I found it tricky to find facts about Cicadas. i found it easy to do it on a google slide. My digital learning objects shows that I can Embed my slides on my blog. Next time I would use scratch.

Saint Anne

This blog post is about the 3rd task and it was Religious Education we had to research about a saint and we also had to answer some questions about our chosen saint. I choose Saint Anne she is the mother of Mary and the grandmother of Jesus. First I tried to do it on we video but then I thought that I will do it on a Google slide. I found it tricky to research about Saint Anne. i found it easy to create it on a slide. My digital learning objects shows that I can Embed my slide son my blog. Next time I would do it on wevideo.

Wellbeing Task

This blog post is about the 2cd activity and it was a Wellbeing task we had lots of fun activities to choose from first we had to roll a dice if we didn't have a dice there was a youtube click we had to pause it was if the number is 4 we had to choose one activity from the Number four box. I choose to do draw a square and in the middle write what I was proud of.  I found it tricky to do my task because there a lot of things that I was proud of. I found it easy to roll a dice. Math Escape Room

 today we had our online class we had 4 things to do this blog post is about the 1st and it is Maths we did not have a learn create share for this but it was a fun activity it is called the Escape Room we had to link on a link and on that link there was 11 questions then there was another link that link will take me to the answer sheet we had to solve the problem and add a letter to the answer sheet and that was it. I found it tricky to fill in the answer sheet with the right answers. I found it easy to share it on my blog. My digital learning objects shows that I can Embed my work on my blog. Next time I would change the background and add my own problem.

Covid 19

Today I was bored so my dad said create some slides with some facts about Covid 19. I found it tricky to find information. I found it easy to add background and images and  to know the protection facts as this is what we do daily. I enjoyed choosing some awesome gifs. My digital learning objects shows that I can Embed my work on my blog. Next time I would add different background and different images.

Did you know that there is a big difference between the first strand recorded and the delta that is now circulating the world and sadly in New Zealand.

What does it look like?
Jellyfish look like umbrellas and they have long tentacles. Some are small clear blobs other’s are large and colourful. 
What does it eat?
Jellyfish eat many types of things such as small plant fish eggs and other small fish called larvae.
Where does it live?
Jellyfish can be found in all ocean water. 
Sometimes jellyfish tend to just follow the currents of the ocean.
What is an interesting fact?
Some jellyfish live in freshwater. Jellyfish has no brain or heart.
Conclusion
I think jellyfish look after themselves.

FRIYAY

 Did you know that today is Daffodil Day? It is to help people that have cancer. 

Today is Friday but we don't say Friday we say FRIYAY. WE ha dour online class since it was FRIYAY we wear our PJ'S it was fun wearing PJs. I forgot turn on my camera. I found it tricky to choose a yellow top to wear. I found it easy take a screenshot of my class. My digital learning object shows that I can take a screenshot. Next time I would turn on my camera.

 Today we had our online we had three things to do this blog post is about the 1st one it is writing our learning intention was to sucture. We had our three things to do LEARN CREATE SHARE for our LEARN bit we had to watch a video and then I was up to my CREATE bit which was to see a slide deck that will help me record my thoughts feelings and experiences during lockdown. There was 10 activities to do I did six it was fun doing them.  I did not finish some of my activities.I found it tricky to do these six activities. I found it easy to write information.  This blog post is about the 3rd task and it is MATHS for maths we had to play a kahoot then we had to watch a video then we had take out a paper and draw some 3rd shapes I drawed mine and I took a photo of it. Water in Nature I used sticks and flowers I made a colourful flower using different colored flowers it was fun mixing the flower so it would look like a colourful flower. I found it tricky to mix the colours. I found it easy to make a colourful flower. My digital learning objects show that I make a colourful flower. Next time I would make something else.

Composting

Today I had my online class there were 3 tasks to do this blog post is about the 1st one it was about writing,We did have a learning intention for and it was to Structure an information report we also had success criteria and it was to

Introduction -

I will have a title (the name)

I will have a hook (question)

I will state what I am going to write about

Body

I will write the subheading

I will use the keywords to write sentences

I will re read my sentences to make sure they make sense

I start a new paragraph / subtitle

I will do the same for all parts of my plan

Conclusion

I will share my own reflection / personal thoughts about the topic

WE had to write about Composting. We had to read 2 articles that were based on compost. I found it tricky to follow the success criteria. I found it easy to write about composting. Did you know that Composting can be a great way to use food lost to landfills.

What is it

Compost is a mixture of ingredients used to fertilize and improve the soil. Brown + Green = Compost  Material like leaves straw and shredded wood along with grass and vegetable scraps combine water air and high temperatures creates an environment for materials to break down.

How is it made?

It is commonly prepared by decomposing plant and food waste and recycling organic materials.organic scraps(vegetable peels,fruit waste,plant clipping and grass cutting) turn into a material called Compost.

The benefits of composting

Enriches soil, helping retain moisture and suppress plant diseases and pests.

It Adds nutrients to the soil. Compost is humans—nutrient-rich soil

It Recycles kitchen and yard waste

It is really Good for the environment!

 Today we had our online class we had three tasks to do this blog post is about the 1st one we did not have a learning intention for this,we had to go to a website called word cloud and we had to find synonyms for trust and faith and write them in a box. I found wrote 13 words but when I chose my shape some of my words did not appear. I found it tricky to find words about faith and trust it was a bit tricky. The Magic Jawbone

 This is my 2cd blog post about the 2cd activity it was reading we had three things to do LEARN CREATE SHARE for our LEARN bit we had watch a video about Maui then I was up to my CREATE bit which is to Create magic jawbone using LEGO,a digital construction or sketch Or sketch some koru patterns from the story Or Retell the story use Stop Motion or write it or Create the kereru from the story using LEGO a digital construction or sketch I choose to create the Magic Jawbone I used piskel.  I found it tricky to create the magic Jawbone because it was slippery. I found it easy to take a screenshot . My digital learning objects shows that I can Make things on piskel .Next time I would do it on Minecraft.

Scavenger Hunt

Today for inquiry we did a Scavenger Hunt, for this we did not have a learning intention for this we had click on the Native species Scavenger Hunt and see if you can answer at least 1 of the questions. I only choose 2 native animal there were 11 spies of New Zealand Animals to choose from I choose fantail and kiwi Here's a facts about kiwi which you may know,Did you know that kiwi is one of New Zealand's Native Animal. I found it tricky to choose which one to do because each one had at least 3 question and we had to answer them all there was also a website. I found it easy to fill out the three questions it was fun learning about kiwi and fantails. My digital learning objects shows that I can Embed my native Animal slide on my blog so you guys can see what i did inquiry. Next time I would choose a different Animal.

Cats!

Today we had our online class we had four tasks to so this blog post is about the 1st one which is reading our learning intention is to apply knowledge we had our three things to do LEARN CREATE SHARE for our LEARN bit we had to read three articles and watch 2 videos based on cats and dogs then I was up yo my CREATE bit which was to choose one of the create task to compete

1- Make a 5 facts poster in Google slides to share what you learned about cats

2- Create a Food chain animation that includes a cat or dog

3- Make a Google Drawing poster showing the different parts of a cat or a dog

I did the 1st and 3rd task I made them both on a Google slides then I created it into a gif using tall tweets,for the 3rd task I did both animals. I found it tricky to choose one,write 5 facts about Cats. I found it easy to share it one mu blog. My digital learning objects shows that I can Embed my work on my blog so you can see what i did. Next time i would choose a different task.

Lying on the grass Looking at the clouds!

This is my 2cd blog post about the the 2cd activity for the 2cd acinty we have to go outside and play a game then someone has to take a photo or a video of us playing the game. We had 40 things to choose from I choose to ly on the grass and look at the clouds it was nice relaxing on the grass.I found it tricky to choose something to do. i found it easy to take a picture of me lying on the grass. My digital learning objects shows that I can take a picture of myself looking clouds. Next time I would choose to do a different activity.

Brain Break(Jigsaw Puzzle task)

 This was our fun activity after I done my writing blog I had a Brain Break it means a break from whatever kids are focusing on. We had to do only one puzzle but I did four it is so fun doing these puzzles.I found it tricky to finish these puzzles. I found it easy to the 4th one. Assumption of Mary

Back to lockdown again This is a little prayer about covid 19

Lord Jesus, give us the grace to hear your voice,

And the strength to continue working for your kingdom in this time of pandemic.

Do not allow us to be indifferent to those who today suffer the loss of a loved one, or who suffer from the absence of work.

But give us the courage to accompany and side with those who suffer violence or injustice. Amen.

Today we had our 9:30 online class we had three tasks this blog post is about the 1st task which is about the Assumption of mary that was on sunday but today our work was to learn about Mary we had to make a word cloud of words about Mary on word cloud there was also a induction video of how to use word could it was my first time using word cloud it was bit tricky to find what I needed but I still got one with my learning. I done my work on a heart. I found it tricky to find words about Marys. I found it easy to choose a nice font and a nice shape. My digital learning objects shows that i can use word cloud( it was fun using word cloud) Next time I would change my words,font,colour and shape.

 Today for writing, our success criteria was to paragraph it means a distinct section of a piece of writing We had to choose a our favourite NZ olympian I choose Valerin Adams We had our three things to do it was LEARN CREATE SHARE for my learn bit we had to read NZ Olympian Fact file and watch how to write a paragraph,then I was up to my CREATE bit which was to choose our favourite NZ 2021 olympian we had to research facts about our chosen olympian. I wrote my writing on Canva presentations I found it tricky to research about valerin Adams. I found it easy to choose a NZ olympian. My digital learning objects shows I can Embed my writing on my blog so you guys can see I wrote. Next time i would do it on a google slide i would also choose a different athlete.

Kawakawa

Today, I was learning how to summarise Do you know what summarise means? It means a brief statement of the main points of something we had our three things to do LEARN CREATE SHARE for my LEARN bit we had to read three stories and watch one video then I was up to my create bit which was to  Choose one Maori medicinal plant that is plated in our school we are going to paint a label on a piece of wood and list it's ronga properties( how can people use it today?)  We had to Design our label first using Google slides or paper I did mine on Google slides.We will do the painting tomorrow hopefully we will take some photos then i will post it so you can see it.My plant was Kawakawa there are some facts on my slide! I found it tricky to choose a plant and write about them. I found it easy to make a QR code i had to make a QR code because I had lots of information. My digital learning objects shows that I can embed my QR code. Next time I would change my plant write different facts about it!

 This weeks for reading our success criteria was to skim and scan it means reading techniques that use rapid eye movement and keywords to move quickly through text for slightly different purposes we had our three things to do LEARN CREATE SHARE for our LEARN bit we had to read  ancient warriors japan facts it’s Cool to Learn about Countries: Japan we had to watch two videos for my CREATE bit I had to using the keywords/facts we have learnt create an interactive report sharing your knowledge of Japan.Then I was up to my SHARE bit which was to share my work on my blog so you can see what I did. I found tricky to write facts about Japan. I found it easy to add a background and change the fonts to funky fonts. My digital learning objects shows that I can embed my Japan information on my blog so you can see it. Next time I would change my background add different fonts and write different facts.
