Gamefroot

3 weeks ago Mrs Torrie came to Room 1 to teach us how to use and make a game by using Gamefroot, it was a bit hard for me to use gamefroot because I haven't used Gamefroot before but i watched some tutorials on out class site. look at my game and please give me a feedback so i know what to do next.

I found it tricky to get my background code done my next step is to finish my other code and play the game. I found it easy to choose a background and a character but i haven't done the code my character. My digital learning objects show that i can Embed my Gamefroot on my blog with a Reflection, . Next time i would change my character and background and make another game by using gamefroot.

Today for writing we were filling in our June Student Reflection for my classmate compliments i shared my google drawing with olivia here's the link to her blog. Financial lIteracy( ASB Get Wise)

This week on Tuesday a man from ASB cam to Room 1 he came to Room 1 to teach us about Financial lIteracy his name was Callum came from the ASB get wise program on tuesday he came to teach us a cool trick called c.a.s.h  

Clear your mind from all the stuff that you want but will be a waste of money - also clear plan and money goal.

Action what are you going to do to make the amount of money you need for that product.

Save the money that you have so you can get the thing that you want faster. 

How long? think of how long you need to save for if you save too long it might not be a realistic goal.

and there is also  away to make money called S.S.S this will make your C.A.S.H easier. Callum  came on wednesday he teaches us about S.S.S  it stands for 

Strengths, think of what your good at, you shout try to make money by doing something that your good at this will make things much easier.

Solve any problems that might slow your business down.

Start your business!! 

 I found it tricky to write and figure out

 stuff that he wrote on the board. I found it interesting to learn how to save money wisely. I found it challenging to start a business. Reading about Matariki

 Did you that this week is Matariki? for reading our learning intention was compare and contrast it means  identifying the similarities and differences between two things. We had three things to do and that is Learn create share my learn bit was to read The eyes of tawhirimatea and Pleiades around the world stories we also had to listen to a story and watch a video called Matariki. Then i did my create part which was to discuss in my ground about the similarities and difference between all the stories that I read my group name was Avengers. So my friend Jakob shared a slide to everyone in our group there was five of us me Isabella Amelia Olivia and Jakob R also I thought that there were 7 stars but there are 9 stars. I found it tricky to write about Tawhirimatea the god of wind and Ranginui the earth Mother. I found it easy to do my work with my reading group. My digital learning objects shows that I can Embed my work and my groups work on my blog. Next time I would choose another Matariki background.

Student- Led Conference inventions

   This week for writing our success criteria was to understand how to shape texts for different purpose and audience we had three things to do It was our Learn Create and Share for our learn bit we had to read a girl named Ella invention then I was up to my create bit which was to create my own avatar one on Free Avatar Maker then we had to own our own slide because there was 28 slides I was slide 6 then I started writing my invention when  I finished writing I had to download my avatar and put it on my slide I choose a orange background with a golden border Do you know what a student -led conference is? it is where I share my learning with my parents and when and when I done that my Teacher will come and set a goal. I found it tricky to make my avatar because it has to look like me and the other tricky thing was i could take a photo of my invention so I copy and paste my slid into a new slide then i nersrt my Tom Fedro art click here to see my Tom Fedro art . I found it easy to write my invention. I found it challenging to include everything in my invention. My Digital learning objects shows that I can Embed my student- Led conference invention on my blog. Next time I would choose another background and choose a different border.

Tom Fedro Art

 This week for art our learning intention was to use painting techniques and our success criteria was to use
Long Brush strokes,
Both sides of the paint brush
Bright colours
Bold lines 
Tints and shades to show light direction. 
The real artist was Tom Fedro.

Some facts about Tom Fedro

Tom's Real name is Thomes 

He owned his own art gallery but  now he just sells them

He is a Pop Artist

This is what we did

  We had drawn a picture in pencil then we did our shading without going over the lines then we coloured in the outline with black paint and then we did our eyes. Then we shaded the hair with colours making light to dark by adding white to colours to make them lighter.

 
Did you know that Tom Fedro was born on 1969? He done lots and lots and arts. My favourite art are the pop arts there are so wonderful. 
 I found it tricky to follow his art. I found it easy to paint and shade because shading was a bit easy for me but with a little help. I found it challenging to draw and blend colours in. My digital learning objects show that I can embed my Tom Fedro Art work. Next time I would do different colours and different shadings.

Measurement Tasks

 This week for maths we were learning to measure things like our neck,wrist,arm span and some more. My new learning was finding out what popliteal means what is your popliteal? My popliteal is 37 The popliteal length is the measurement from the underside of your right leg behind the knee when seated to the floor shoes taken off I didn't filled in the 1st question but the answer is 1.30 . I found it tricky to Measure things and find the meaning of popliteal. I found it easy to measure how tall I am. My digital learning objects shows that I can Embed my blog post on mi blog. Next time I would change the background and pick a different buddy to share my slide with.

Do you know what is a life cycle of a butterfly?

This week for writing our learning intention was to use a diagram to help my reader understand what my writing is about. I did a writing about what is a life cycle of a butterfly? First we had to read a explanation writing its name was why don't spiders stick to their own webs i did my slide with a buddy her name is Isabella. Perseus

 This week for reading our learning intention was infer it means reading between lines and find clues from the text that i was reading. My Learn part  was to read a story called Medusa- the Quest of Perseus then we had to watch a video about Perseus and Medusa my create part was to create a slide or draw on a piece of paper and glue it in our scrapbook. I did my on a google slide we had to draw Perseus or write Perseus in a text box also we had to give evidence from the story.I did my slide with a buddy her name is Isabella here is the link to her blog Isabella's blog .I found it tricky to find evidence about Perseus. I found it easy set a background and write the evidence. I found it challenging to read the story cause there was 36 slides. My digital learning objects shows that i can Embed my reading on my blog. Next time i would change my background to a light colour.

 How are Rainbows formed?

A rainbow is a multi-coloured arc in the sky. Did you know white light is made up of 7 colours?

Rainbows can only be seen when rain and sun happens at the same time. Raindrops act as small prism! Put a mirror in a glass of water in a dark room. Shine a torch and place a paper over it and it breaks up the sun's white light into a rainbow the 7 colours. Light comes in and bends to form different light rays! No 2 people see a rainbow the same ,beeave everyone is at a different angle to see the prims in the raindrops. Rainbows can be seen in mist fog and spray.

Tapa cloth

Did you know that this week is samoa week? Since it is samoa week for art we make a Tapa cloth to make a tapa cloth first we had to get a hard paper then fold it in half and then draw a samoan pattern with your pencil if you make a mistake just rub it out you can choose how many patterns you want i only did two samoan patterns. When you finish the drawing the pattern use a crayon and colour the strips in. And the final job dye it with a brown colour then we have finished our TAPA CLOTH! I found it tricky to choose a amazing pattern. I found it easy to dye the Tapa cloth brown. I found it challenging to finish my Tapa cloth because i didn't want to get in chop chop on Fridays. My digital learning objects shows that i can Embed a photo of my Tapa cloth and post it on my blog. Next time i would choose different patterns.

Character description of Maui!

 This week for reading my task was to make a slide and we had to Develop a character description of Maui. Also we were learning to infer it means reading between lines and finding clues.I found it tricky to find and type in words that is ture first we had to read a slide of words made by a teacher Mrs Naden.I found easy to read and write.My digital learning objects shows that i can Embed my work and blog it.Next time i would draw it on a piece of paper an do different words.

Samoa week!!!!!

 Talofa

This week is samoa language week! Since it is samoa language week for reading I got a Samoa Digital Activities slide I did not make the slide my teacher Mrs Naden did it. There were 10 Samoa Digital Activities I completed every slide.I found it tricky to complete the samoa flag puzzle cause there was a puzzle piece missing.I found it easy to write the General information of Samoa.I found it challenging read and write about samoa it was very interesting and fun. My digital learning objects shows that I can I Embed my Samoa Digital Activities slide.Next year for samoan language week i will try to make my own samoan slides because the one that i was using it was a bit tricky to do things.

Sketching

For the last three weeks we have been sketching our favorite anime character also there was another choice it was if we had not have a favorite anime character we could draw our favourite animal i choose to draw a penguin.I found it tricky to follow instruction and i had to rub out some mistake. Piskel Sprite

On tuesday for cybersmart we were using piskel i never used piskel before it was the first time using it. First i didn't know what to do. Then Miss Torrie said the instructions for how to create a sprite. I also did not get time to finish it i think it is going to take 2 or 3 days to finish.I found it tricky to use piskel  but i found it a bit easy by flowing Mis Torrie instructions. I found it easy to create a sprite. My digital learning objects shows that i can Embed my piskel and post it on my blog. Next time i would change my character background.
